I love Easter, it is such a colourful and nice holiday. Four days in a row of eggs and sweets, and the powerful message of the resurrection. Tonight I feel like sharing some pictures.
I love this story:
"The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee.
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples."
Since I read this story for the very first time as a teenager I have always been fascinated of imaging how these women ran, both scared and filled with joy at the same time. I also picture the big stone as a problem. The priests put it there with a purpose - it was supposed to be impossible to take away. It was. For humans. But the angels were able to. A problem you feel you don't have the power to lift away. But in the morning it was not there anymore. Which means it was possible. Make sense, right?
On Sunday we had risotto at Villaggio, amazing Italian restaurant in Stockholm.
Today I made a buffé of Easter dishes.
Sweet potato, spring leak, garlic, fennel, asparagus in the oven.
Easter Chick Deviled Eggs, smoked salmon and Philapelphia cheese, tomatoes and mozarella cheese.
And so when putting time and effort in the main course I took the easy way out for dessert...bought Swissroll, whisked wipped cream coloured yellow and topped with almond eggs and small silver decoration pearls. My 4 year old grand son helped and we had great fun! Quick and easy, not too healthy I know but not as often...
Nice brothers' hang in my Dad's old armchair.
Don't forget to watch the documentary "True stories" about Tim Bergling "Avicii", it is now on SVT play. Very interesting. A true story about a young man who gave his heart to something he have a vision for. And how the hunt for making more and more money caused severe stress. I really enjoy watching the recording sessions in the cooperations he has with musicians all over the world. I love the different styles of music fusion together. Being in a studio working on songs is my heaven and hard to discribe in words, but this film actually at least partly catches the atmosphere of it.
Sometimes people say that Tim does not do anything else than "push the play-button", but after watching this they won't speak. Though I already knew he is able to do more than that. Good night!
